When I decide to take a trip one of the first things I check is what I will be able to do in the city I will be visiting. There is nothing worse than getting somewhere only to realize nothing in that city interests you. When I planned a trip with my friends last October we decided to go to Nice. Before booking everything for the trip I checked what we could do there and if it was interesting enough for us to go there. How do we do that? Well more and more people (if not all) turn to the internet. You want to find blogs that talk about the place you want to go to see what the author thought about the place, you will probably check if the city has a Facebook profile, and you will check the city’s website. What is interesting about the blogs is that you will be able to find reviews of the biggest attractions but you could also get some information about low key events or places that are not publicised.
The Travel Blog by Alex and Dorota is a good example of a blog that gives you information about interesting places you can visit during your stay in another country. It gives the readers interesting insight on different places they visited and what you can do in those cities. The only thing I would advise is that you want to try to find a blog that relates to your way of travelling (some people are more adventurous than others): every experience is subjective so it is better to have more than one opinion.
